Master Controls

 

This is a specially designed option in TNG that can be used to modify some critical information that impact day to day work of an organization.

 

At present this option allows to change the following -

Click on the button to enter/change the values of the flags.

Field Description of Master Controls

OAF Planning Date

Click on the small white box if you want to change 'Planning Date' of OAF(s) belonging to particular Customer.

Customer Code:

Specify the Customer of desired OAF.

Click on the icon on the field to access a list of Customers defined through Customer Master option of Sales Module. Select your desired Customer from the list by clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Customer Code.

 

As a result, a list of all OAFs belonging to the selected Customer will be displayed in a grid as follows -

 

Field Description of the grid -

OAF Year:

Displays the Financial Year of the OAF for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

Group:

Displays the Group of the OAF for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

OAF No:

Displays the OAF Number for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

OAF Planning Date:

Displays the existing Planning Date of the OAF for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

New OAF Planning Date:

Clickon the field. Now enter the new Planning Date for the OAF of the current row. It can NOT be before the current date. This new date will overwrite the old or existing Planning Date.

Once you have entered Planning Date for all the desired OAFs, click on 'Save' button on the top bar. As a result, the existing or old Planning Date will be replaced with the new Planning Date. Click on 'Cancel' icon to discard the entries.

 

CCN Allow Date

Click on the small white box if you want to change 'CCN Allowed Date' and other dates of existing and open SJO(s). As a result, a list of all Open SJOs will be displayed in a grid as follows -

 

Field Description of the grid -

Select:

Click on the small white box to select an SJO for which dates have to be entered or changed. Please note that new dates will be saved only for selected SJOs.

 

SJO Year:

Displays the Financial Year of the SJO for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

Group:

Displays the Group of the SJO for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

SJO No:

Displays the SJO Number for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

SJO Item:

Displays the Parent Item Code of the SJO for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

Item Description:

Displays the Description of the Parent Item Code of the SJO for your reference. You can NOT change it here.

 

SJO Quantity:

Displays the Quantity of the SJO Item for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

CCN Allow Date:

Displays the existing CCN Allow Date of the SJO for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

New CCN Allow Date:

Click on the field. Now enter the new CCN Allow Date for the SJO of the current row. It can NOT be before the current date. This new date will overwrite the old or existing CCN Allow Date.

 

OAF Planning Date:

Displays the Planning Date of the OAF belonging to this SJO for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

Planning Start Date:

Displays the existing Planning Start Date of the SJO for your reference. You can change it. To do so, click on the field. Now enter the new Planning Start Date. It can not be before the current date. Press <TAB>.

 

Production Start Date:

Displays the existing Production Start Date of the SJO for your reference. You can change it. To do so, click on the field. Now enter the new Production Start Date. It can not be before the current date. Press <TAB>.

 

Delivery Date:

Displays the existing Delivery Date of the SJO for your reference. You can change it. To do so, click on the field. Now enter the new Delivery Date. It can not be before the current date. Press <TAB>.

Once you have entered all the desired dates, click on 'Save' button on the top bar. As a result, the existing or old Dates will be replaced with the new Dates entered in the grid. Please note that data will be saved ONLY for selected SJOs. Click on 'Cancel' button to discard the entries.

 

Item Master

Click on the small white box if you want to change KANBAN Flag, EOQ, Minimum Order Quantity, Maximum Order Quantity or Minimum Inventory Level of an existing Item. Following options will be displayed as a result -

 

KANBAN Flag change for an Item, Process Flag

Select this option by clicking on the small white box if you want to change the KANBAN flag and Process Flag for an Item. Following options will be displayed -

Item Code:

Specify the Item for which setting has to be changed.

 

Click on the icon on the field toaccess a list of Items defined through Item Master Basic Detail - Entry option of Materials Module. Select your desired Item from the list by clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Item Code.

 

You can not select an Item that has been deactivated through De-activate Master option in Administrator Tools Module. The help list will also not display such Items.

 

Item KANBAN Flag

This option will be enabled only if the flag 'Do You Want To Use KANBAN Functionality?' is set as 'On' through Inventory Policy option of Administrator Tools Module. Otherwise this option will remain disabled.

 

Turn the flag 'On' or 'Off' by clicking on it.

 

By default displays the value of this flag for the selected Item as set through Item Master Basic Detail - Entry option of Materials Module.

 

The flag can be changed as per the following conditions -

Do you require Process defined in Item Master for an Item?

This option will be enabled only if the flag 'Do You required Process defined in Item Master for an Item?' is set as 'On' through Inventory Policy option of Administrator Tools Module. Otherwise this option will remain disabled.

 

By default displays the value of this flag for the selected Item as set through Item Master Basic Detail - Entry option of Materials Module. You can change it.

 

Turn the flag 'On' or 'Off' by clicking on it.

 

Process Operation Code:

This field will be enabled ONLY if the above mentioned flag 'Do you require Process defined in Item Master for an Item?' is selected as 'On' and is mandatory to enter. Otherwise it will remain disabled.

 

Denotes the Operation that is linked with the Item.

 

By default displays the Operation specified for the selected Item through Item Master Basic Detail - Entry option of Materials Module. You can change it.

 

Click on the field to access a list of already existing Operations defined though Codes Master Entry (Code Type = 'OP') option in Administrator Tools Module. Select your desired Operation from the list by clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Operation Code.

 

Please note that if the selected Operation is same as the Operation mentioned in 'Operation Code Considered as an Internal Process' field of Shop Policy in Administrator Tools Module, it will be considered for Internal Process. If another Operation is specified, it will be considered for Outside Process.

EOQ, Minimum Order Quantity and Maximum Order Quantity for an Item

Select this option by clicking on the small white box if you want to change the Economic Order Quantity, Minimum Order Quantity and Maximum Order Quantity of an Item. Following options will be displayed -

Item Code:

Specify the Item for which Quantities have to be changed.

 

Click on the field to access a list of Items defined through Item Master Basic Detail - Entry option of Materials Module. Select your desired Item from the list by clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Item Code. Press <TAB>.

 

You can not select an Item that has been deactivated through De-activate Master option in Administrator Tools Module. The help list will also not display such Items.

 

A list of all Vendors that have been associated with the selected Item through Item Vendor Purchase Master option of Purchase Module along with other details will be displayed in a grid as follows -

 

Select rows belonging to all those Items for which Quantities have to be changed or entered by clicking on the small white box. Only after selecting those Items, will you be able to enter quantities in respective fields. Otherwise those fields will remain disabled.

 

Field Description of the grid -

Item Code:

Automatically displays the selected Item Code for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

Vendor Code:

Automatically displays the selected Item Code for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

PUOM:

Automatically displays the Purchase Unit of Measurement of the selected Item for the Vendor for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

Rate Structure Code:

Automatically displays the Rate Structure of the selected Item for the Vendor for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

Currency Code:

Automatically displays the Currency of the selected Item for the Vendor for your reference. You can NOT change it.

 

Minimum Ord Qty:

Automatically displays the Minimum Order Quantity of the selected Item for the Vendor. You can change it. Click on the field to do so.

 

Maximum Ord Qty:

Automatically displays the Maximum Order Quantity of the selected Item for the Vendor. You can change it. Click on the field to do so.

 

Economic Ord Qty:

Automatically displays the Economic Order Quantity of the selected Item for the Vendor. You can change it. Click on the field to do so.

Minimum Inventory Level (MIL) change for an Item

Select this option by clicking on the small white box if you want to change the Minimum Inventory Level of an Item in all Warehouses associated with it through Warehouse Inventory option of Store & Inventory Module. Following options will be displayed -

Site:

Specify the Site for which MIL Quantity of the selected Item has to be changed.

 

Click on the field to access a list of already existing Sites belonging to the currently logged in Company defined though Site Master option in Administrator Tools Module. Select your desired Site from the list by clicking on it. Alternatively you can also enter the Site Code. Press <TAB>.

 

MIL Quantity:

Automatically displays the existing Minimum Inventory Level of the selected Item for your reference.

 

New MIL Quantity:

Enter the new Minimum Inventory Level of the selected Item. Press <TAB>. This MIL Quantity will replace the previous MIL Quantity.

 

Once you have made desired changes, click on 'Save' button to save or 'Cancel' button to discard.
